Ojai Valley Democratic Club - Community Meeting
Sunday, July 27 | 4:30–6:30 p.m.
Ojai Art Center, 113 S. Montgomery St.
There’s a lot to discuss—nationally and locally—and important decisions ahead for our community.
In November 2026, Ojai voters will elect a Mayor, three City Council members, and three School Board Trustees. With so much on the line, now is the time to come together, get organized, and plan ahead.
With a new Democratic Club starting up in the Ojai Valley—which included many Betsy Stix and Michelle Pinero supporters at their last meeting—we also face a key question:
Do we need two clubs—or should we take a different path to better serve the broader community?
Let’s decide together:
-
Renew the Ojai Valley Democratic Club’s charter — currently under review by the Ventura County Democratic Central Committee. Dr. Starchild Weivoda has stepped up to serve as President, and Renee Roth as Secretary, if the Club chooses to continue.
OR
-
Form a POLITICAL INTEREST GROUP/PAC focused on electing local candidates who reflect core Democratic values: equity, climate action, transparency, and inclusive governance.
Maybe both? We’ll also be seeking ideas and volunteers—especially a treasurer, and those with skills in communications, social media, and event logistics—to help move us forward.
All registered Democrats in the Ojai Valley are welcome.
This is an important organizational meeting and we need support. Please reply with a YES to let us know you will attend.
