At-Large Voting Initiative Petition: The initiative petition to restore at-large voting in Ojai is still under review by the Ojai City Attorney's Office. Expected to be ready the week of August 17.

California Democratic Council (CalDC): The CalDC Board meets Tuesday, August 18 — agenda includes discussion of OVDC's affiliation status. OVDC's Bylaws are also under review for submission to CalDC.

VCDCC Charter Appeal: The California Democratic Party's Compliance Review Commission (CRC) meets Wednesday, August 26 at 5:00pm to discuss OVDC's appeal of VCDCC's decision not to renew the club's charter. Contact Renee for details.

Ojai Town Hall Also Wednesday, August 26, at 6:00pm: a Town Hall facilitated by Councilwoman Leslie Rule concerning the VC Sheriff's Office, Ojai Police, and possibly the DA's office regarding ICE presence in Ojai. Strong attendance encouraged.
By September 6, more information is expected on: CalDC affiliation, the CRC appeal, bylaws, and the at-large voting initiative and accountability regarding Ice presence.

Three Ojai City Council seats, the Mayor's race, and three Ojai Unified School Board trustee seats are on the ballot.
