WELCOME BACK Meeting

On July 27, the Ojai Valley Democratic Club welcomed 40 attendees, including several new and returning members, for an exciting first meeting of 2025!
Highlights of the meeting:
Special Guest: Mayor Andy Gilman opened the meeting with reflections on civic dialogue, housing, climate, and his work with the Mayor’s Student Advisory Committee. He also shared that the 2+2 Committee (Ojai City Council + OUSD Trustees) will be on the August 12 Council agenda.

The Chartering Process has been completed by the Ventura County Democratic Club Central Committee. They proposed several changes to our operations as a club, including changes to our Bylaws. The Ojai Valley Democratic Club (OVDC) Board met and accepted those proposed changes.
The proposed changes are in DRAFT form below. Please review, add comments. Other changes may be proposed, discussed and adopted at our next OVDC meeting on August 24.
