Annual Meeting on Sunday, April 2, 2023
All current and recent members of Ojai City Council and Ojai Unified School District who are registered Democrats have been invited to speak.
The Club will hear from retired city council members Ryan Blatz, Randy Haney and Bill Weirick about the highlights of their 8 years of service and future plans. Also, we'll hear from City Councilpersons Suza Francina, Rachel Lang and Leslie Rule and OUSD Trustees Jim Halverson and Atticus Reyes on their top priorities. Nominated by the Club board to serve as officers: President: Jeffrey Starkweather, retired attorney and newspaper publisher, Ojai Planning Commissioner Treasurer: Kathryn Donwen, Recruiter, R.A.M. Healthcare Consulting and recent candidate for Ojai City Council Secretary: Sean Higdon, Senior Regulatory Counsel at One Medical Vice Presidents: John Brooks, retired journalist, CFROG founding member and First Amendment Foundation board member Randy Haney, former City Council member, Chamber of Commerce board member and President of Haney Landscaping Sean McDermott, retired tech executive, Rotary Club of Ojai board member and Co-Founder of Incubate Ventura
Nominations for these positions can also be made from the floor during the meeting. Only active (paid) members are eligible to nominate or vote. Future Meetings We will also be seeking your input on what topics you would like the club to host as speakers or forums at our meetings later in 2023.
